We had a wonderful stay at 138 Marine. The staff were friendly, helpful and extremely adherent to COVID-19 regulations. We felt comfortable, safe and very relaxed throughout our stay. Desré advised us on different spots to visit in the area and was very knowledgeable on the different walks we could do, which were very enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious and our room was clean, bright and had special touches.
What a lovely find! We absolutely loved our 4-night stay. I loved the home-away-from-home feel and all the special touches. The breakfast was absolutely deeeelish!!! We’ll go back just for the breakfasts! We loved waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the crashing waves. Early morning walks on the coastal path and sundowners on the deck were such a special treat. We will definitely be back!
Had the loveliest stay at 138 Marine in Sandbaai! Stunning views RIGHT ON the ocean, with arguably the best sunset view in Hermanus from the balcony. Jena & Louis were gracious hosts, making us totally feel at home. The room was spacious & very tidy, breakfast is good – the place has it all for a nice little break-away. Can definitely recommend it, and will surely be back!
One of my absolute favourite guesthouses – we celebrated our anniversary and Desré, Belinda and the team went above and beyond. Comfortable room to sleep in, the breakfasts were our best meals of the day and wonderful to be able to sit in the lounge, admiring the sea view, with access to a fridge, where one can store one’s own drinks for a sun-downer. We will be returning again!
My husband and I spent a VERY relaxing four days at this beautiful guesthouse. The Oyster room was pure luxury with its magnificent sea views and classic comfort. Thank you to all the staff for their warm hospitality and helpfulness. And let’s not forget to mention the “out of this world” breakfasts!! A delicious spread awaited us each morning which fuelled us as we hit the nearby Hemel and Aarde mountain bike trails. We hope to be back soon.

From the start of our stay, until the end, the words personal touch was written all over the experience here in 138 Marine Guesthouse. We were spoiled and treated like royalty from the beginning. Not to mention the amazing view from our room. A view we will never forget. The entire setting of the venue looks out over the ocean, no matter where you are in the house. Recommend to everyone who wants to silence their souls into the beauty of Sandbaai, whilst enjoying their stay!

We enjoyed staying in this gorgeous house. Every detail here is made with so much love. Yes we were treated with so much attention. So Big Thank You for attention to the little details!! It so rarely we met the same. We will be missing the sunsets at the lounge with candle lights and glasses of sparkling wine.
